UAE Denounces Tragic Mosque Attack in Homs, Syria

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has vehemently condemned the terrorist bombing that struck a mosque in Homs, Syria, resulting in multiple casualties among innocent civilians.

In a formal declaration from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UAE emphasized its rejection of such violent atrocities. The Ministry reiterated the nation's unwavering stance against all forms of terrorism, highlighting that such heinous acts undermine security, stability, and harmonious coexistence.

The statement pointed out that assaults on places of worship are particularly repugnant, as they target civilians and disregard the sanctity of spiritual sites. The UAE reaffirmed that violence and extremism have no acceptable rationale and should be combated through collective international efforts.

The Ministry conveyed heartfelt condolences and deep sympathy to the families of those affected by the assault. It also expressed solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic's government and its citizens, wishing a swift recovery for all those injured.

The UAE has consistently advocated for global collaboration in the fight against terrorism, emphasizing the need to protect civilians while fostering peace, tolerance, and stability in the region and beyond.
