The launch of the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft marks a significant achievement for Russia as it heads towards the International Space Station (ISS), transporting over 2.5 tonnes of critical supplies.
As reported by Roscosmos, the spacecraft took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome and is en route to the station.
Onboard, the cargo comprises 1,348 kg of dry goods housed in the pressurized module. This includes 483 kg of food, 333 kg dedicated to sanitary and hygiene supplies, 311 kg of equipment for repairs and upgrades, 146 kg of personal protection gear, and 75 kg of various medical and scientific materials.
Additionally, the refueling component carries 700 kg of fuel, 420 kg of water, and 50 kg of oxygen to support the crew.
A key piece of equipment on this mission is the Orlan-MKS suit No. 8, intended for astronauts' spacewalks from the Russian section of the ISS.
The Progress MS-34 is expected to dock with the Zvezda module of the ISS on April 28 at approximately 12:01 a.m. GMT.
