Abu Dhabi is making significant strides to affirm its status as a leading center for motorsport innovation. His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, met with Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, in anticipation of the Etihad Airways Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Their dialogue centered around fostering strategic collaborations in advanced automotive technologies and artificial intelligence, with the goal of introducing groundbreaking innovations from the emirate to the international motorsport stage. Discussions also included ways to incorporate emerging technological solutions into racing strategies, vehicle performance, and enhancing fan experiences.
Joining Sheikh Khaled were notable figures including His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Jassem Mohammed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi; and His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince. Their involvement reflects Abu Dhabi’s dedication to promoting innovation and global partnerships in high-performance sectors.
This meeting underscores the emirate’s ambition to not only host premier motorsport events but also to spearhead technological advancements that shape the future of racing and automotive excellence.
