H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative for Al Ain Region, visited the Al Fakhr Winter Camp dedicated to the sons of martyrs in Remah. This camp, which is in collaboration with the Presidential Court’s Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office, Emirates Falconers’ Club, and the Mohamed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School (FDPS), will continue until 12th December 2025.
During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed engaged in numerous activities, including an educational session organized with the International Fund for Houbara Conservation, which underlined the significance of Houbara bustards and contemporary conservation strategies.
The event also features a variety of sports and leisure activities, such as a football tournament and a virtual reality hunting experience, aimed at promoting healthy habits among the young attendees.
He remarked that caring for martyrs’ sons remains a fundamental national priority for the UAE, guided by President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He emphasized that the UAE initiates programs designed to foster the skills of fallen heroes' children, encouraging youth initiatives, as well as aiding their creative and leadership development.
The camp embodies the UAE’s dedication to youth empowerment, a vital element for national advancement. Investing in the younger generation is crucial for the country's future and is instrumental in achieving its cultural and developmental objectives while safeguarding its national successes.
Accompanying Sheikh Hazza were Sheikh Zayed bin Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, the Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office.
The Al Fakhr Winter Camp is backed by renowned organizations focused on enhancing youth leadership, such as the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi.
Hosting 63 sons of martyrs aged 12-16, the camp includes educational programs on Emirati culture, workshops in falconry and Arabic coffee-making, alongside various sports and recreational activities, heritage learning, talent development in science, and insights on healthy eating.
