The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry has issued a resolute condemnation of the recent disturbances, assaults, and attempts at vandalism aimed at the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Damascus, Syria. These violent acts have also targeted the residence of the UAE’s head of mission, as well as provoked actions against national symbols.
In a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom firmly denounced these unacceptable activities, pointing out that they breach diplomatic ethics and international norms.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its unwavering opposition to all types of violence against diplomats and diplomatic sites. The ministry stressed the paramount importance of safeguarding diplomatic missions, in accordance with established global laws and conventions.
The Kingdom further urged adherence to international diplomatic protections, highlighting that the safety of embassies and their staff is crucial for fostering international relations and ensuring stability.
