Qatar Airways has officially resumed passenger flight operations to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates as part of its ongoing efforts to restore and expand its regional and international network. The airline announced that the Abu Dhabi route is now operating with double-daily passenger flights, strengthening travel connectivity between Qatar and the UAE.
The resumption of services to Abu Dhabi marks another important step in Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to rebuild and strengthen its aviation network across West Asia and other international destinations. With the restart of Abu Dhabi operations, Qatar Airways now serves three destinations in the UAE, including Dubai and Sharjah, providing passengers with more travel flexibility and improved regional access.
According to the airline, the move comes amid increasing travel demand and growing passenger traffic across the Middle East region. Qatar Airways stated that expanding services to major Gulf cities remains a key priority as the airline continues restoring routes and improving connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.
The airline has also recently resumed and expanded operations to several other regional destinations. Flights to Baghdad, Basra, and Erbil in Iraq have restarted, while daily services to Bahrain, Damascus, and Kozhikode have also resumed. These developments are part of the company’s phased strategy to reconnect important regional markets and strengthen links between Asia, the Middle East, and other global destinations.
Qatar Airways emphasized that the airline is steadily advancing the restoration of its global network across six continents. Officials said the company remains focused on maintaining operational efficiency, passenger safety, and reliable international connectivity while adapting to changing aviation conditions and market demand.
The airline also advised passengers to regularly check flight schedules through its official website or mobile application. Qatar Airways reminded travelers that schedules may change due to operational, regulatory, or safety-related circumstances beyond the airline’s control. The company encouraged passengers to keep their contact details updated to receive the latest travel information and notifications.
Industry experts believe the resumption of Abu Dhabi flights reflects improving regional aviation stability and growing confidence in Middle Eastern travel markets. The expansion of routes is expected to benefit tourism, trade, and business travel between Gulf countries while supporting the wider recovery of the international aviation sector.
Qatar Airways continues to be recognized as one of the leading global airlines in the region, operating an extensive international network through its Doha hub. The airline’s ongoing route restoration efforts are expected to further strengthen Qatar’s position as a major global aviation and transit center connecting Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
The return of double-daily services to Abu Dhabi is likely to provide greater convenience for travelers, improve regional business opportunities, and enhance passenger connectivity across Qatar Airways’ expanding global network.
