North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Explores Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Timčo Mucunski, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, visited the esteemed Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He was joined by Abdulkader Mohamedi, the nation's Ambassador to the UAE, along with a delegation. Together, they explored the mosque's intricate halls and spacious external corridors, gaining insights into its establishment and its pivotal role in promoting coexistence, tolerance, and openness.

Hasher Aldhaheri, a Cultural Guide Specialist, provided an enlightening overview of the mosque’s striking architecture and artistic elements. He elaborated on how the mosque beautifully merges elements of Islamic art and design from various eras, crafting a visually captivating environment. This tour showcased the harmonious blend of architectural styles that underlines the UAE's dedication to cultural unity and creativity.

During their visit, Mucunski and his delegation also paid respects at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, reflecting on his wisdom and vision for peace that continues to influence the UAE's culture of coexistence. The Minister expressed admiration for the UAE’s leadership, emphasizing the honor in witnessing a vision that fosters respect and unity globally. He praised the UAE as a nation that embodies the values instilled by Sheikh Zayed and extended his wishes for its ongoing success.

As an expression of gratitude, the delegation received a commemorative gift symbolizing the mosque's artistic essence. They were also presented with a copy of “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,” a publication that features the mosque’s architectural marvels along with award-winning images from the “Spaces of Light” competition. This visit provided a profound understanding of the mosque’s importance as a beacon of harmony, art, and culture, leaving a cherished impression on the dignitaries.
