Miles Karu Takes SEA Wrestling To Japan

Miles Karu Takes SEA Wrestling To Japan

Post by : Shakul

Malaysian professional wrestler Miles Karu is preparing for one of the biggest moments of his wrestling career as he heads to Japan for a three-month tour with the famous DDT Pro-Wrestling promotion. The wrestler, popularly known as “The Lyrical Lightning,” will represent not only Malaysia but also the growing Southeast Asian wrestling scene on an international stage. His upcoming tour marks a major achievement for Malaysian professional wrestling and highlights the increasing recognition of regional talent by global wrestling organizations.

Miles Karu has steadily built his career since entering the professional wrestling world in 2019. Through years of training, regional competition, and hard work, he has become one of the most recognized names in Malaysian Pro Wrestling. He competed in wrestling promotions across several Southeast Asian countries including Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. His performances and dedication helped him gain respect within the regional wrestling community and opened doors for international opportunities.

One of the most important milestones in his career came in 2024 when Miles Karu and his tag team partner The Wonderboy became the first Malaysians to win the SPW Southeast Asia Tag Team Championships. More recently, Miles captured the Southeast Asia Championship after defeating Shivam at the New Breed 4 event. The victory further strengthened his position as one of the leading professional wrestlers in the region and prepared him for the next step in his international journey.

Speaking about his upcoming Japan tour, Miles said wrestling in Japan had always been one of his biggest dreams because of his deep admiration for Japanese wrestling culture. He explained that at the beginning of his career he believed such an opportunity was possible, but over time it sometimes felt like a distant dream. Now, with the tour officially confirmed, he says he is excited to represent Southeast Asian wrestling and bring the Southeast Asia Championship to Japanese audiences.

During the tour, Miles will be based in Tokyo and compete in matches across different locations in Japan from mid-May until mid-August. His first scheduled match will take place on May 16 at Radiant Hall in Yokohama during the NihaoDramatic Dream Tournament 2026 event. He will team up with Yukio Naya and Seiki Inaba in a six-man tag match against Kazuma Sumi, Daichi Sato, and Akito. Wrestling fans across the region are closely watching the tour as it represents a rare opportunity for a Malaysian wrestler to compete in one of the world’s most respected wrestling markets.

Miles also shared the names of several Japanese wrestlers he hopes to face during the tour, including Chris Brookes, Kazuki Hirata, MAO, Takeshi Masada, and legendary wrestler Minoru Suzuki. He hopes Japanese fans will enjoy his wrestling style and become more familiar with Malaysian Pro Wrestling and the wider Southeast Asian wrestling scene. According to him, the tour is not only about personal success but also about helping regional wrestling gain more international recognition.

The Malaysian wrestler also encouraged young wrestlers to continue training and improving their skills regardless of how successful they become. He stressed the importance of discipline, hard work, and gaining experience by wrestling across different countries and promotions. Miles believes that meeting talented wrestlers from around the region helped shape his own career and motivated him to continue pushing forward. His Japan tour is now seen as a proud moment for Malaysia’s wrestling industry and a sign that Southeast Asian wrestling talent is beginning to receive global attention.
