Jared Isaacman Become NASA Chief After US Senate Vote

Jared Isaacman Become NASA Chief After US Senate Vote

Post by : Rameen Ariff

The Jared Isaacman NASA chief appointment has now been officially confirmed. The United States Senate has approved billionaire space traveller Jared Isaacman as the new head of NASA. He will now lead the country’s space agency under President Donald Trump.

What Happened

The US Senate voted to confirm Jared Isaacman as NASA new administrator. The vote result was 67 in favour and 30 against, showing strong support for his appointment.

With this vote, Isaacman becomes the 15th leader of NASA. He replaces the acting chief and will now take full control of the space agency.

When It Happened

The Senate vote took place on December 18, 2025, and the decision was announced the same day.

This vote came two weeks after Isaacman appeared before senators for his second hearing, where he spoke about his plans for NASA.

Who Is Jared Isaacman

Jared Isaacman is a billionaire businessman and a private astronaut. He has flown to space before and is known for his strong support of space missions.

He is also known as an ally of Elon Musk and has worked closely with the private space industry. Because of this, many see him as a strong supporter of bold and fast space plans.

Earlier this year, President Trump had removed Isaacman from the role and later named him again as the nominee. After this process, the Senate has now given final approval.

What Isaacman Said

During his Senate hearing, Isaacman said that NASA must move faster in space missions. He warned that the United States needs to speed up its plans to return to the Moon.

He clearly said that the goal is to beat China back to the Moon during this decade. He believes NASA should not slow down and must stay ahead in the global space race.

NASA’s Future Plans

The acting NASA head congratulated Isaacman after the vote. He wished him success as he begins his role and leads NASA toward its next big goal.

The plan is for NASA to return astronauts to the Moon by 2028. This mission is seen as a key step before future missions to Mars.

Why This Appointment Matters

The Jared Isaacman NASA chief decision is important because the world is watching the space race closely. The US and China are both working to lead in space exploration.

With Isaacman in charge, NASA is expected to push harder on Moon missions, new technology, and future space travel.

Final Words

Jared Isaacman now takes charge at a crucial time for NASA. His focus on speed, competition, and big goals could shape the future of US space missions for many years.

All eyes are now on how he leads NASA in the race back to the Moon.
