Below are five oils that dermatologists endorse for reducing hair fall and encouraging growth.
1. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is revered for its ability to deeply penetrate hair. Enriched with lauric acid, it seeps into the hair shaft to minimize protein loss, effectively preventing breakage and split ends. This oil is particularly beneficial for dry, damaged, or chemically-treated hair.
For application, gently massage a small quantity into your scalp and hair, allowing it to stay for 30-45 minutes before rinsing with a mild shampoo. It's advisable to avoid overnight usage if you struggle with dandruff or acne-prone skin.
2. Rosemary Oil
Rosemary oil has gained traction for its ability to enhance blood circulation within the scalp. Improved blood flow ensures better oxygen and nutrient delivery to hair follicles, which is particularly beneficial during the initial phases of hair thinning.
Always blend rosemary oil with a carrier oil like coconut or almond oil. Use just 3 to 4 drops and massage gently once or twice each week.
3. Tea Tree Oil
