The Dubai Police has called on start-ups, technology companies, and academic institutions to share innovative ideas that can help tackle future challenges in crime prevention and data protection.
The initiative, known as ‘Innovation Sprint 2.0,’ was launched at the Expand North Star 2025 exhibition. This programme gives participants the chance to identify and analyze real-world policing challenges and create smart, effective solutions.
Besides focusing on crime-related issues, the programme will also explore advancements in autonomous vehicles and car plate recognition technologies.
The most promising ideas will be selected by the Dubai Police, and the winning team will get the chance to collaborate directly with the force to turn their concept into a full-scale project.
Aisha Alkendy from the Dubai Police Research and Development Centre highlighted that this initiative strengthens the partnership between public institutions and private innovators to make Dubai a smarter, safer, and more advanced city.
Submissions for the Innovation Sprint 2.0 programme will remain open until November 12.
