Atradius, a leader in global trade credit insurance, has officially launched its operations at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking an important milestone in its expansion across the Middle East.
This strategic move enhances Atradius’ capacity to offer comprehensive insurance and risk management solutions throughout the MENA region. By leveraging DIFC’s esteemed financial ecosystem and the regulatory framework established by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the firm is well-positioned to deliver customized trade credit services.
Roeland Punt, Senior Executive Officer at Atradius Trade Credit (Re)Insurance (DIFC) Ltd, remarked that DIFC provides an optimal environment for fostering partnerships with local entities. He reiterated the company's commitment to helping businesses navigate payment risks and thrive within increasingly intricate global markets.
Salmaan Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer at DIFC Authority, expressed enthusiasm about Atradius’s arrival, noting that it further solidifies DIFC’s stature as a premier hub for international financial enterprises. He added that Atradius will assist businesses in navigating risks, unlocking new growth pathways, and expanding with confidence across the MENA marketplace.
Having been active in the region since 1999, Atradius collaborates with key partners like Orient Insurance in the UAE and Tawuniya in Saudi Arabia. These alliances enable Atradius to provide reinsurance services along with robust support for claims handling, account management, and debt recovery.
With over a century of expertise, an A1/stable credit rating from Moody’s, and a global network in over 50 countries, Atradius continues to establish itself as a reliable ally for businesses seeking effective growth strategies and risk management solutions.
