Anthony Geary, the legendary actor best known for his iconic role as Luke Spencer on the long-running soap opera General Hospital, has passed away at the age of 78. Geary died on Sunday, December 14, following complications from surgery, leaving behind a legacy that spans decades in daytime television. His husband, Claudio Gama, shared the devastating news, saying, “It was a shock for me and our families and our friends. For more than 30 years, Tony has been my friend, my companion, my husband.”

Geary first brought the character of Luke Spencer to life in 1978 and became a cornerstone of General Hospital for nearly four decades. Luke’s on-screen romance with Laura Collins, played by Genie Francis, became one of the most beloved storylines in soap opera history.
