The Ajman Chamber's Education Sector Business Groups have underscored the critical necessity for upskilling teachers through training in contemporary technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and digital educational tools. This initiative aims to address the swift advancements in the educational sphere and enhance learning results.
This declaration emerged during a collaborative meeting at the Ajman Chamber’s headquarters, led by Dr. Kareem Al Saghir, Chairman of the Education Sector Business Groups and Director of Ajman University. The gathering included prominent officials like Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, alongside other essential figures from the education sector.
The dialogue concentrated on enhancing the educational atmosphere and reinforcing collaboration between schools and universities. Officials highlighted the importance of shared expertise, refining teacher licensing frameworks, and embedding AI and future-ready competencies within the education system.
According to Dr. Kareem Al Saghir, the Education Sector Business Groups have a significant role in elevating educational quality and aligning it with job market prerequisites. He noted that education is a pivotal focus of Ajman Vision 2030 as it advocates sustainable development and constructs a knowledge-based economy.
Participants emphasized the necessity of ongoing teacher professional development in advanced tools such as AI and robotics. They remarked that embracing innovative teaching methodologies can enhance efficiency and stimulate creativity in the classroom.
The meeting also explored enhancing teacher licensing regulations and attracting talented educators by collaborating with pertinent authorities. Ajman’s expanding roster of prestigious schools and universities was acknowledged as a formidable asset that can further bolster the sector's competitive edge.
Officials also highlighted educational institutions' roles in readying students for higher education. They proposed organizing workshops and advisory sessions to assist students in selecting suitable career paths corresponding to their skills and market needs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees proposed the formation of a collaborative working group to pinpoint challenges in the educational landscape and devise actionable solutions. They also consented to conduct regular meetings to review progress and ensure efficient implementation of new initiatives.
