In a significant step towards boosting export capabilities, AD Ports Group has entered into a partnership with Borouge Plc to explore enhanced operational strategies in the UAE.
This collaboration focuses on the potential development of a new international export hub along the UAE’s East Coast, which is integral to Borouge’s future export strategy and aims to fortify a more dependable logistics framework.
Working in unison, the two firms intend to leverage AD Ports Group’s marine connectivity and port logistics at Fujairah Terminals, in addition to evaluating the creation of tailored polyolefins infrastructure on the region’s east side.
The overarching goal of this initiative is to alleviate dependence on busy shipping routes, thereby enhancing vessel scheduling and overall shipping adaptability. A key aspect of the partnership will involve discussions with shipping lines to investigate new export avenues via the Fujairah Terminals.
This initiative promises to uphold consistent and dependable export operations through a diverse array of ports and logistic amenities, further solidifying the UAE’s role as a key player in global logistics and industrial activities.
Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Borouge to open new avenues for industrial exports and strengthen trade connectivity both regionally and globally.
Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, CEO of Borouge Plc, remarked that this partnership represents a crucial advancement in enhancing logistics capacities, facilitating the company’s growth objectives. He added that the alliance is poised to foster a more flexible and nuanced export network, ensuring consistent supply for their international clientele.
As the largest exporter through AD Ports Group, Borouge remains committed to this longstanding collaboration that first initiated in 2001, solidifying their mutual relationship.
