Exciting Kickoff for Abu Dhabi’s Health Festival 2025 This Friday

Exciting Kickoff for Abu Dhabi’s Health Festival 2025 This Friday

Post by : Badri Ariffin

This Friday, Abu Dhabi will unveil the Festival of Health 2025, an annual event aimed at fostering a healthier lifestyle in the emirate. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre alongside the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and numerous governmental and private entities, the festival is anticipated to attract over 30,000 attendees throughout its duration across three locations.

Running through December, the festivities will kick off on Al Hudayriyat Island from December 12 to 16, move to Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra from December 19 to 21, and wrap up at Al Jahili Park in Al Ain from December 26 to 28. Each location will be transformed into an engaging hub focused on fostering daily health practices.

This year's event aligns with the newly endorsed Healthy Living Strategy, aimed at simplifying healthy choices for the community. More than 140 activities will be available, emphasizing the festival’s four essential themes: movement, nutrition, sleep, and mental health.

A standout feature is the “city moov challenge,” a digital initiative that prompts participants to complete mind and body tasks in diverse settings. Finishing this challenge offers rewards to encourage ongoing participation.

The festival boasts a comprehensive roster of partners, including PureHealth, Sakina, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Modon, Al Ain Farms, Agthia, Burjeel Cancer Institute, Nestlé, and AstraZeneca. The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi acts as the Official Community Partner, while the Abu Dhabi Media Network takes on the role of Official Media Partner.

A wide array of community partners, such as Special Olympics UAE, Active Abu Dhabi, and the Department of Community Development, will provide specialized programming during the festival. Additional backers like Eli Lilly, ZHO, 321 Sports Gym, Mediclinic, and Lululemon will enhance the festival's reach.

Designed to be inclusive, the Festival of Health invites families, youth, seniors, and individuals of determination. Attendees can participate in fitness sessions, cooking demos, wellness workshops, competitions, and family-oriented events that promote manageable, sustainable lifestyle modifications.

This initiative is part of ADPHC's broader aim to promote regular health screenings, physical activity, and preventive measures year-round, reinforcing Abu Dhabi's vision of transitioning to proactive community health care.
