A Heart That Heals: The Story of Tasneem Khamkar A Voice of Hope for Women Across Borders

A Heart That Heals: The Story of Tasneem Khamkar A Voice of Hope for Women Across Borders

Post by : Monarch Editorials

In a world where chaos often drowns out compassion, one woman’s quiet work has become a lifeline for many. Tasneem Khamkar, a UAE-based HR professional and self-made women’s counselor, is not a celebrity, but her story deserves to be heard across every home and heart — from the streets of Sharjah to the shores of Southeast Asia. She doesn’t lead a charity. She doesn’t ask for donations. She doesn’t advertise her efforts. Yet, she has become a beacon of hope for hundreds of women facing emotional distress, mental health struggles, and the silent battles that come with being away from home.

Tasneem’s journey began in her childhood

Raised in the UAE, kindness came naturally to her. "Even when I was just 6 or 7, I remember helping a hungry mother and her children by buying them food with my saved AED 20," she recalls. The woman’s tearful smile and heartfelt prayers sparked something in Tasneem — a desire to heal others’ pain. Later in life, her daily commute from Sharjah to Dubai became the turning point. She met countless women on the bus who were carrying invisible wounds. One such interaction — with a woman who opened up to Tasneem after initial hesitation — showed her the power of listening. “She said to me, ‘Tasneem, you are a healer. You bring back lost smiles,’” she shares. That moment marked the birth of a counselor — not by degree, but by heart.

Balancing Two Roles: HR Manager & Heart Listener Professionally

Tasneem is an experienced HR Recruiter and Manager. But outside the corporate world, she becomes a community caregiver, offering emotional support to women dealing with anxiety, depression, heartbreak, and trauma. “I’m not a certified counselor. I’m just a woman trying to be there for other women,” she says with honesty. Her sessions are always free, confidential, and deeply personal. She listens first — with patience — and offers simple, honest advice or just the comfort of presence. Her philosophy? “Helping someone is not for show. It’s between me and my Rabb (God).” This spiritual depth runs through everything she does.

Calling Them ‘Heroes’ — And Rightfully So

Tasneem refuses to label the women she supports as "victims." Instead, she calls them heroes“Every woman’s struggle is unique. They don’t need sympathy. They need a reminder that they are stronger than their situations,” she explains. For her, even listening to someone cry and helping them smile again is one of the highest forms of healing.

The Storyteller Within – Amelia

Not stopping at counseling, Tasneem became an author. Her book Amelia, published by Austin Macauley (UAE), is a fictional but reality-based story of a little girl navigating life’s hardships. “Amelia is filled with messages of hope, kindness, and strength,” she says. The book has received positive feedback globally, especially from readers who feel seen and understood through the story. She hopes to write more such books that pass on emotional wisdom to future generations.

A Safe Home for Women — Her Dream Project

Tasneem’s next big dream is to build a shelter home for single mothers and working women who arrive in the UAE in search of a better future — but often fall prey to harassment, exploitation, and fear. “These women leave behind their families and children. Many suffer silently, sleep in unsafe conditions, and are often scammed by fake agents,” Tasneem says. Her planned home would offer free accommodation, food, basic necessities, and above all — safety and dignity until they find stable employment. She is looking for support or funding partners to make this dream a reality.

A Legacy Beyond Life

When asked what she wants to be remembered for, Tasneem’s response leaves a lump in the throat:

  • “Even if I die one second from now, I just want people to raise their hands and make du’a (prayer) for me. That’s the legacy I want — not fame, not wealth. Just prayer in return for the little healing I gave in this world.”

Her work is not loud, but it is profound. Her impact is not counted in numbers, but in tears wiped, hearts mended, and smiles returned. Tasneem’s message for the youth is simple: “Be kind. Be human. Even listening to someone can change a life.”

For women suffering in silence, she says:

“You’re not alone. There is always someone ready to hear you out. Just don’t stop reaching out.”

And for working women living abroad, feeling lost and alone, she reminds:

“There are people like me who care. Make real connections. You are not as alone as you think.”

In a time where influencers seek followers and attention, Tasneem Khamkar quietly influences lives — not for likes, but for du'as. She is an ordinary woman doing extraordinary work — and her story deserves to travel far beyond borders.

If you would like to support her shelter project or connect with her work, reach out via Newsible Asia and we’ll help bridge that connection. Let her kindness become our collective movement.
