In a collaborative effort, the King Abdulaziz Public Library and the Riyadh Education Department are thrilled to announce the launch of the 26th annual Free Reading Festival, commencing this Sunday.
Scheduled from May 10 to May 14, the festival will gather over 1,550 students and their educators from more than 100 schools across Riyadh.
This initiative is designed to foster a vibrant reading culture among students, enriching their educational experience. The festival will focus on broadening their understanding of literature, science, and culture while promoting independent reading habits.
Additionally, the event offers a unique opportunity for students to exhibit their talents and enhance their proficiency in the Arabic language. Teachers are invited to support their students in cultivating consistent reading practices.
With such programs, the King Abdulaziz Public Library remains committed to advancing literacy by providing diverse resources and access to an extensive collection of books, thus connecting students to the Kingdom’s rich cultural and literary history.
